IMPORTANT NOTICE TO "SHARE YOUR STORY" PARTICIPANTS. Please read this personal consent and release ("Consent") carefully before agreeing to its terms and participating in the "Share Your Story" program ("Program"). This is a legal and binding contract between you and Find the AAAnswers (“Find the AAnswers”). This Consent contains information related to the use and ownership of your story, images and other information you provide to Find the AAAnswers and your participation in the Program. By selecting the "I Agree" button below and participating in the Program you acknowledge that you understand and agree to be bound by the terms set forth in this Consent. You may print this Consent by clicking on the link. If you do not agree to the terms of this Consent you will not be authorized to participate in the Program.
- Consent. In return for the ability to participate in the Program I hereby assign and transfer to Find the AAAnswers and its successors and assigns, including third parties, all my right, title and interest, including moral rights, in and to any information provided by me in connection with the Program, including, but not limited to, stories, text, video and images, including photographs, pictures and likenesses of me or in which I may be included ("Works"), and I agree that all such materials, including all copyright and other intellectual property rights embodied therein shall be deemed “works made for hire” under the US Copyright Act. In the event I have any right in the Works which cannot be assigned, I further agree to waive enforcement of such right against Find the AAAnswers and hereby exclusively grant Find the AAAnswers a royalty free license to all such rights in the Works worldwide with the right to sublicense. I hereby further grant Find the AAAnswers the absolute, perpetual and irrevocable right and permission, with respect to the Works:
a) To copyright the same in its own name or any other name that it may choose.
b) To edit, use, publish, broadcast and otherwise exploit the same in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other items, in any electronic or physical medium or format and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not by way of limitation) illustration, education, promotion, advertising and trade, and
c) To use my name or any other personally identifiable information provided by me in connection with my participation in the Program in connection therewith if it so chooses. - Waiver. I hereby waive all right to inspect or approve the version of the Works used by Find the AAAnswers and release Find the AAAnswers from any and all liability resulting from any distortion, blurring or alteration of the images or any editorial revisions, changes or errors in the information. Find the AAAnswers is under no obligation to submit materials that incorporate the Works to me for review or approval prior to any use, publication or distribution.
- Acknowledgement. I agree that I have the right and authority to enter into this contract and grant the rights that are granted in this Consent, and that I am not entitled to any financial or monetary compensation in return for my submission of Works to Find the AAAnswers or for this Consent. I am aware that I have the right to refuse to sign this Consent. I understand and intend that the Works may be published to the general public, including on the Find the AAAnswers website, and that personal information contained therein or provided by me in connection with my participation in the Program may be publicly disclosed and may no longer be protected by privacy regulations or by Find the AAAnswers’ privacy statements. I warrant that the Works I submit are true and correct, contain an accurate expression of my actual experience and honest feelings and beliefs, are not in any way false, misleading or defamatory, and that use, publication, reproduction and distribution of the Works by Find the AAAnswers will not violate any third party's rights.
- Release. I hereby release and discharge Find the AAAnswers from any and all claims, demands, actions, and causes of action, of whatever kind or character, whether in law or equity, as well as costs and expenses thereof, including attorneys' fees, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Works or any personal information I provide Find the AAAnswers in the course of my participation in the Program, including any and all claims for libel.
